Material–Social Translation Systems
2026–ongoing
Material–Social Translation Systems is an ongoing practice-based research project that investigates how lived experience and fragmented social conditions can be translated into textile structures through stitching, accumulation, suspension, and discarded textile matter.
Developed through interviews and material experimentation, the project approaches textile not as representation, but as a methodological system capable of reorganising memory, social tension, erosion, and displacement into spatial and material form.
Medium
Discarded textile matter, tulle, stitching, suspended thread structures
