Uncollective Memories-2025-Solo
Uncollective Memories
Uncollective Memories is an invitation to see and to touch what has remained hidden from view fragmented, personal, and fragile recollections that have persisted in silence, without ever disappearing.
The fabrics used in this collection have been gathered mostly from the heart of domestic spaces and the depths of closets- materials that bear quiet witness to silent lives and voiceless memories. Their textures seem to hold within them layered traces of time.
For me, sewing is a way of thinking with my hands-a silent, tactile act of remembrance and narration, full of presence despite its quietude.
This work is not a reconstruction, but a representation -an evocation of memories that have endured over time.
